Squeaky Tree Stand

...one of my tree stands has developed a squeak...what kinda of lube do you guys suggest?...should I be concerned about the smell?...

I use corn oil or vegetable oil as a lube. You may need to reposition the stand or just move it an inch or two. This will get rid of the chain/strap stretch that could be a contributor to the noise

I put Teflon or Delron AF washers between each connection.

You can find them at most larger hardware stores, or a fastner house like Des Moines Bolt and Fastenall. I had to have the Delron AF washers made for me.

hey all you gotta do is take some scent killer soap

out there and squirt it on the squeaky spots and u wont
have to worry about it

Better yet,

Toss it on ebay or in a garage sale and then go out and buy a Lone Wolf. I borrowed one of these last week and man are they nice and quite!!!!!!!
