squeaky treestand

This past season I had a treestand that made more noise than a train at 3:00 in the morning. What are some tactics that i could do to fix it before I just leave it on the shelf and only use it for summer shooting in the backyard.

White grease... works great! Or you could buy a Lone Wolf and forget about it...

Vegetable oil works, with no adverse smell.

If it is an api stand.....just use it in the yard. I have one that is going to get taken down soon and become a ditch filler for the same reason.....API stands are the worst in my opinion

take all the bolts off and put rubber washers on, then re asslemble

Thanks for the info, I think that i will try all of those combined and if that don't work, it will be a summer stand.

I took and cut a plastic milk jug up into 1"x1" squares and put them between all metal parts, so that no metal touched and it really made it quiet.Also make sure everything is tight.Hope this helps.
