Stands and Climbing Stick Straps/Rope length

Just have to rant a little bit about my displeasure with manufacturer's these days and the amount of material they give you to get around a tree. Seems you are limited to finding a tree that is 6 feet around or less. Most tree's I like to get in are bigger than that. I'd gladly pay a little more if they would give me another 3-4 foot of strap or rope.

I realize most sell extensions and I'm sure that's by design. Just frustrating when you find that perfect tree and you need screw in steps to get high enough to get your strap or rope around to start climbing.

And yes, I'm referring to my new Muddy sticks that I finally got to try out this past weekend. Once in the tree, they worked like a dream and absolutely love them. GIVE ME MORE ROPE!!!!

I hear yah, but on the same side I hate having too much stuff too and then you got to sit there and try to wrap it around the sticks etc so that it doesn't flap or swing in the wind.. I use the LW sticks and I carry 4 extensions in my pack for just in case.

The tree I picked out Friday took one LW strap plus two extensions just to get around the base. This was the craziest tree I had ever seen. Huge base and then 5 big trunks on a white pine. Awesome cover!!
