I was curious to see how many people made it out this weekend for the Statewide goose season? Had a real good hunt today but was curious on how the geese were flying around the state!!
Its hard to get pumped to hunt in ninty degree weather but we still had fun. Here is a picture from Saturday. Note the nice fashion statement I am making with boots and shorts!!! The guy taking the picture was the forth guy to our group. No bands (I swear the hunting gods do not want us to have any bands!!)
Nice work fellas! We, much like the Hawks, got taken to the wood shed (just killed two). However, also like the Hawks, this will not ruin our season. Just brings ya back to reality a little...
Sounds like my our luck. Skunk on saturday morning and one on saturday night. Sunday morning we got 2. It was a tough weekend but sure beats working. Hopefully we will be able to pound on some of them ducks this weekend. Sure saw plenty of them this past weekend. Gotta love them waterfowl though. It sure makes a bad day of hunting good when you are with some of the guys that I hnt with. Alota laughs.
I'll have to give you credit Limb, if you let those two hunt with you your charity knows no bounds. It nice to see you helping the " hunting challenged"
Got absolutely skunked. It was the first time we have been skunked hunting in this one particular field.....ever.
Hunted in t-shirts and shorts laying in the blinds. I would have swore we were hunting birds that had been shot at. Saw nearly 200 birds all around us both days....they just did NOT want to work.
Still had a blast hunting with all my college buddies. Oh yeah, and HOW ABOUT THEM CLONES?!?!?! GO ISU!!!!!!
Two days before the season we didn't see many birds. We ended up locating a good sized flock the night before and decided to set up on them the next morning. It ended up being a wise decision. We ended up shooting 26 geese total in those 2 days.
