Stealthcam mishap

I shopped around for some inexpensive compact flash cards for my stealth V330. I ordered some off a website and payed minimal for two 1GB CF cards. Well I got what I payed for. Last week I put one in and the cam said, "Bad card format, reformat now?" So I punched in "Yes" to the reformatting thinking it was nothing to be worried about being it a new card. Well I got there and noticed my mineral sight was absolutely tore up and the trail cam says "0 pictures"

I looked at the LCD viewing screen on the inside and everything is all messed up and kinda pixilated/ fuzzy in certain areas. I pulled the damn card and did a test pic and it seems to work just fine except for where it says the date/temp/moonphase and all that text is pixilated out. We'll see next week if it works right, and I'll try to get a pic posted to show you what I mean.

Hmmmm, does it look like this?

Not sure, mine did that back in January when I put in a 2 G card. I've had it out pretty much since then, so I would guess that it won't go back to normal. I called Stealth, and they said send it in, they could fix it no problem.

You may want to check to see how upgradable your camera is. Some of those stealths only upgrade to 526mb. If you put a 1gig in, you will get the format error.

The V330's are suppose to go up to a 4G card, thats why I was going to put in a 2G. I run a 1 G card in them all the time with no problems, but from the sound of things, that is all they can handle.

Is there a reset on that cam anywhere? If not, the first thing I'd try is to remove all the batteries, leave them out for awhile, then reinstall them and see if that resets things. Wonder WTF was wrong with that card to screw it up that bad. Also, is the firmware upgradable on your cam via computer? If all else fails, you could probably get it going again that way.

Well, not that it really SHOULD make any difference in my opinion, but here's the words from the online WD3 manual which is the same cam as your V330MT. Weird deal Stealth has done with the model #'s selling some under the Wildview name:
