Last January a group of us went down to Texas for an exotic bowhunt. My friend Tanner shot this really nice Corsican ram on the first morning.
The first thing we all said when we saw it was "man, he sure does stink" This was just the beginning. The best way to get the horns off the skull is to let it sit in a bag and rot them off. When I finally got around to opening the bag it was plenty rotten. They came right off, but I couldn't get the stink out of my nose for days. I've since learned to rub some Vics Vapo-rub under your nose while doing this. The tanned cape also has a distinct odor that kind of reminded me of a litter box mixed with chew spit. So after 4 rounds of shampoo he was ready to mount. The old lady still gags when she walks past him so he still has a little stink to him, we are both excited for this one to be pickd up. Here he is.
