came home from a wedding and someone had broken inthe house. the only thing they took was my buck that is number 10 all time iowa shotgun .they left my son's buck that scores 193 and hung right by mine. there were guns setting by the door left untouched. i guess they knew what they were after. anyone have an idea what they can be doing with these stolen heads?

I wonder if this theft is related to the Independence Buck theft??
 
Somebody is getting pretty bold. I hope that it is their undoing. I wonder if the two thefts are related? Best wishes and may you recover him quickly.I guess we had all better keep locked doors and an eye out. Thanks for the heads up.
 
sorry to hear that. Definately wonder if there is a connection between the two,it almost seems they could be targeting record book deer. its scary that their are people with that little respect for other people.I hope they get em both back soon!
 
Word has it these guys attend deer shows. take pictures of the mounts, and put the pictures in a album, a catalog of monster buck heads,if you will! /*They then show these to their clients.Quote a price. Once the clients give the go ahead. the sellers start keeping track of the racks owners habits, movements, etc. These racks have gone under, you are not likely to see them again!!! This is not your local idiots nabbing these heads!
 
I sure hope your wrong booner but for some reason I think your right on. Hopefully it will end soon but people like this usually don't know when to stop. Maybe we can still salvage the racks if they are caught soon. Good Luck guys.
 
What an outrage. Now I know why I have remote videocam survaliance.

jb I started sending emails when we first heard about the Independence buck. Do you have your local authorities phone number so we can put it in an email with your harvest picture?
 
Think the Des Moines Reg. would put a pic of the 2 stolen deer racks deer in a article ? Just a thought

Sorry to hear about your loss jb... ya know it is sad to have to worry about whether or not to have replicas made and throwing the real rack in the safe, but that is what it is coming to.
 
Doubt if the Des Moines Reg will print much, has small article about Independance Buck in todays paper page 3B. Needs to have both Bucks on front page.
 
I updated the file to include Jack's Buck. If someone has a contact number I will gladly add that to it. Thanks to those who have requested the file.....let's keep spreading the word on these Two.
 
i have sent the bucks pics to anyone and every i know... it sucks to loose one that nice sry boys
 
Keep your head up jb! Hopefully they will find the idiots responsible for this and bring them to justice. I dont know if it will help but I am spreading the word here in Tennessee. What a shame.
 
Very nice Jack. We still hope your buck comes home. I have been sending the wanted poster out like crazy the last few days. Hopefully by flooding the country with information somebody somewhere will spot it and get ahold of the authorities.
 
I've also sent it out to everyone I know and asked them to forward it on to others. I know it should be working it's way through Texas. Good luck, I hope you guys get back your trophy's
