Lets see your storm cloud/tornado pix!!!!!!!


I have always been fascinated by the weather, and recently i got a chance to photograph a large building system. i actually wish i would have gotten a time lapse with a video camera of this thing, but i dropped the ball.....

Im not sure if any of you attended the National Trappers Association Convention in Mason City a couple weeks ago, but i had a good friend working a booth up there and as a small band of storms moved in, and one spouted a couple funnels right above the convention center. my buddy got a bunch of very cool pix!

here they are as it devolped and then disipated, i dont think it ever touched down, but came close! in some of the pix, you can see the Vortex almost reach the ground.

any how, here they are!

here is the other small funnel that formed while the other one was doing its thing......

This is only a funnel but have probably over 50 other different tornado pictures with tons of lightning pictures. Helps when you drive to catch the storms haha.

Those are some sweet pics, Thomas. The first ones look like a giant mushroom cloud from a nuke or something. If I could ever figure out how to get video off of my cell phone and on to my computer.. I could show you the Muscatine tornado from about 200 yards away with a bunch of crap in the air and me dropping F-bombs left and right..haha

funny thing is that "mushroom cloud" was right over Ft. Dodge as i took the picture...... i was hoping someone finally cleaned up that dirt hole! hahahaha, just rain tho!
