The movement was late this morning. I did not see deer until after 7:45, with the most between 8:30 and 9:00.All does and fawns, but on full alert constantly. They acted like they were on crack and very paranoid.Very jerky movements and scared of their own shadow.Any forest noise at all would send them scattering in all directions.(I.E.)sqirrels/birds,wind in the trees. They acted like they had been chased all night and trusted nothing.I can't believe I did not see one buck if that was the case.I wonder if they have just been sniffing to many diesel fumes. /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif

I witnessed the exact same behavior Sunday night. I was perched atop a tree atop a bluff and all through out the bottoms does were running around "like they were on crack" They were also being very vocal too. Luckily one came under my stand and seen my decoy "El Jefe" and that apparently took her mind off of being cracked out long enough for me to plug her. Very weird behavior, or else just behavior I hadn't seen before.

I wonder if there is any correlation between the wierdness and the time the moon is rising/setting.

I witnessed the same behavior Mon. evening but attributed it to the fact that the 3 remaining cornfields left in the area were being picked. Maybe I was wrong since it appears to be happening all over.

I attribute the deers weird behavior to the high winds...It seems they always act way more skittish with high winds as I have watched them act like this numerous times
