String Stop

I was wondering what you guys think about string stops on your bow. Ive heard a few people say that it helps their accuracy alot and others say that it doesnt do much at all. Ive also heard that it is very loud. What do you guys think? Is it worth the money?

My current bow, Maxxis 31 is the first bow I've had with one. I like it as far as no wrist slap or catching a coat sleeve can't speek to accuracy difference or say I notice a difference in sound level.

You guys using the Muddy SS. Do you notice any additional wear on your string?

Serving is suppose to be wrapped where the string goes into the bristles, otherwise it will start to fray your string

I have one on my vector Turbo. Maybe a little extra wear but not terrible. I don't think it makes much of a difference. Great product tho. Huge difference from my stock hoyt stopper

Got one on my Hoyt. Its all about preference when it comes to gear you throw on your stick and string.. I think they are very effective and can help with the accuracy of your bow. The string stops you can buy that go into the front of the bow(in your stabilizer threads) are cheaper and can be very loud. Brother had one and junked it. All in all good products out there, just gotta do some looking and testing!

The string stop i have was some custom job a guy on archerytalk was making. Tremendous difference in noise reduction. It doesn't help with accuracy at all but they are not designed for that.

Seems like most of the new stuff is coming with some sort of string stop these days. Ive never noticed any sort of accuracy difference, but wrist slap and sometimes noise are decreased. Also takes out some of the vibration in the bow too
