String suppressor

Does anyone know of other companies making String suppressors. I am looking for a place to become a dealer for and have spoken many times with Bucks N Ducks(makers of STS) and unfortunately have just found that they are difficult to deal with. I placed a LARGE order with them 7 weeks ago, and after seeing or hearing nothing I finally called, just to hear they were sorry, and were hoping to have parts to start building again in the next couple of months! I am a Brand new dealer for them and that is how the start our relationship? Not even a " hey we are a little behind" phone call?

So I have heard some good things about Mean V, but just wanted some of the excellent IW opinions. Even if you haven't used a certain kind, but have seen them out there please let me know!

Thanks IW!!

i've heard good things about meanv's. i was all set to get one awhile back, just never sent the check. look around on AT, i think there are a couple others that make them

I have the sts from buck n ducks, and I can't complain. I love what it does for my bow, but in my opinion, the meanv looks alot better.

I believe the guy who makes the MeanV string suppressor is Dan Horton from Illinois. I have heard nothing but good things about his suppressors. I had purchased a custom suppressor for my previous Switchback XT from a guy on AT that goes by the handle 'CoolHandLuke' and it was a very nice, clean looking suppressor... I believe he and MeanV are priced almost exactly the same. MeanV can customize the paint, etc. for you.... he also has a website www.meanvarchery.com

You will not find MeanV on AT... seems he had a run in with some of the moderators on there and got kick off

..... but Dan seems like a great guy and I am sure he would work with you.

I have a meanv2 string suppressor on my guardian and absolutely love it. It looks clean and really makes a difference. You wouldn't think it would but it does. He even makes camo ones that will match your bow that would be sweet, but I wanted one now and didn't want to wait, (you know how that goes) and bought a black one.

I have the camo STS with the side mount on my Razortec, and it looks good on the bow, and blends in well. If you can get some of those shipped sometime, I think you'll like them. Didn't care much for the front mounts and how they looked.

Is it just barely touching the string? It shouldn't be pressing hard against it when at rest. Also, make sure it is tightened, and not moving on you.

Ditto.

I had a very smooth transaction with Dan.

Duravane is making one this year as well. Works very well.

does anyone besides STS have a front mount system? I did not see meanv having a front mount setup.
