I swa three different toms strutting yester;day all in different areas. one had two hens with him. I had no Idea that that kind of activity was still going on this late. Is this normal? I have never hunted past the tradititional first weekend of fourth season, (which was third season)

Probably jakes but they have been gobbling here mornings and evenings for a week. Makes me want to put on the ol camo and play along.

I saw a big Tom yesterday strutting around two hens. So there still in the mood!

One time in Wisconsin I seen a Tom strutting around two hens gobbling his head off at 4 in the afternoon. It was the last weekend of June.
Kind of surprised me seeing that.

I have also seen birds strut on those hot days in novemeber. I just never have late spring like this. It was neat. They were completely oblivious as we park and watched them at 100 yards. they guy i was with has never seen it.

Wanna talk about dumb birds? I saw 2 last night about 75 yards off the road in a wheat field that was bright green..they stuck out like a sore thumb all blown up strutting around by themselves...no hens I could see. I thought it would be fun to play with them...what did I have to loose? I got out of my truck...and stood there and started doing my best cut/yelp combo I could throw out using only my mouth - no calls at all. I thought I sounded like a sick chicken, but something must have caught thier attention because these boys turned and started walking right toward me! My truck was in plain sight of these boys and so was I. I kept cutting and they kept coming. They got to about 50 yards and stopped....and then finally figured out something was up and headed the other direction. They must have been some horny little bastards! Made me really wish you could shoot 2 here in MN...one of them would have been in trouble.

Yesterday evening I drove around and saw more birds than I have seen all season long. I saw multiple big birds strutting with hens. I actually saw one field with 9 gobblers in it, couldn't even believe it and the worst part was, it was public ground

There have been many January mornings out coyote hunting that I have seen groups of 50 or 60 birds with 10 birds in full strut. Seen it alot during deer season too.

Here in Kansas, our turkey season runs until May 31, and there are responsive birds to be found right up to the closing bell.
