I had to consume my 2nd bow turkey tag. It was'nt as bad as I thought it would be but it maybe needed to soak awhile in a good brine.

It was the 1st tag that went unfilled for me so I'm a little humbled. I did have a chance about 2 weeks ago on a dandy bird but badly miss judged the distance....

To bad you didn't call me moosehunter. We could have broke bread together.

But I had desert, I had two tasty tags too eat.

Like you said, I also should have filled one of my tags.

I will be posting the perils of my turkey season soon on here.

Perry,
I have past experience with this myself. I find smothering the tag with peanut butter and slapping it between two pieces of bread they become a little more tolerable.

Few things constipate(sp?) you worse than a $300 tag sandwich

Next time, Perry, wear a camo shirt. I've heard that helps.

All joking aside, we've all had to swallow tag soup at one time or another. Some have just paid more for their delicacy than others.

I ate my Nebraska deer tag last fall. I guess the way I look at it, eating tag soup just makes the next harvest all the more meaningful.

Keep your chin up. Things are bound to get better.
