Fred and I went out tonight to do a little pre-season scouting in one of our honey holes and this is what we found

Body size in the first shot indicates he may be 3-4 years old? Great start for mid May. What do you think?

His rack looks good so far, but whats up with that hump on top of his shoulders, the sway back and that sagging gut? You might want to look for some new area.

My dad saw one today with some tremendous growth based on his description....I'll get the cam out there this week and see if I can catch him on it.

I saw three velvet bucks on the last day of turkey season. One was sporting beer can sized bases with about 6 inches of growth so far. I too am going to get the cam out now that the woods have calmed down a little.

I saw a buck in North Central Kansas last Sunday that had about 20-30 inches of growth on each side. I could not believe how much growth he had so early.
