T/C Omega 50cal.

For those of you with 50 cal Omegas, what bullets and loads do you have success with? Please be specific. What bullets and loads have you not had success with?

I have been doing good with the Hornady lock and loads 250gr bullets and 150gr 777 pellets.

Shot two does on Saturday, both hearts were trashed on the does!

I have shot 5 more does with this same combo. One doe was at 110 yards and another was at 177 yards, dropped her in her tracks. Hope this helps

I have shot 2 does this year with a 245 gr. powerbelt aerotip bullet with 100 gr. of 777 pellets. Closest was 70 yds. and the other was at 135 yds. Neither went farther than 40 after the hit.

I will add that I clean my barrel after every shot, with a patch with bore butter then a dry patch before reloading, it is near impossible to seat the Hornady bullet in a dirty barrel. Cleaning the barrel after every shot is a pain but it is worth it for the accuracy and range, after all it is a one shot one kill weapon.
