I have found many local store short on muzzel loading supplies and I am look for a web resorces to order supplies. I cant find the scope mount in silver anywhere locally( Weaver 410), Horandy SST 250 gr sabots or T/C Shockwave, Thriple 7 in 50 gr pellets, T/C 50 cal quick load tubes. Also I bought the E-Z Tip Extractor by T/C and I can't get it to slide in as the original does. Anyone else ever have this problem?

I am happy to be the new owner of the T/C Encore but I don't want to wait on the local stores to resupply, I want to hunt now.

Wally World is wiped out but I would think Scheels or Sportsmans Outfitters would have all that stuff? You will probably get dinged pretty hard on shipping with the powder.
I bought Leupold rings and bases (silver) from Brownell's in Montezuma for my Encore. About an hours drive from Des Moines or I'm sure they could express ship 'em (they have a website too).

EZ Tip Extractor, is that the pivoting primer ejector? If so, I tried one and found the best soultion was simply no ejector at all.

Sheels and Sportsmans had little of what I needed. I suppose if I can be patient their shelves will be restocked. I just thought someone would know of a good online store that would have some of this stuff. Sounds like the powder will be a problem. I thought the base and rings would be easy to find on line but I have not found them yet.

No extractor TP, that sounds too easy. I have yet to even shoot one round. Does the primer come out easily with your finger tips or do you use an aid of some kind?

Thanks Ryan, I didn't see the right base on their site. I was told to get high rings to help with the cleaning and trigger clearance. Is that what the Leupold QR Base/Rings offer?

I too took the extractor out. It just makes cleaning so much easier. I clean after every shot, even in the field. Before I put it up for the season I give it a hot soapy bath and let it air dry.

As far as ML componets, I bought all of mine at the area Wal-Marts at this time of the year while they were on clearance. You might check on Midwayusa.com for bullets. I bought my Hornady's SST/ML's from there. I would not buy powder by mail order. You will be charged a $15.00 hazmat charge for shipping.

Mike,
Check your other post on this, midway ship's fast and I have never had any problem with them. You could put a rush on the order to if you wanted to pay exta $.They have EVERYTHING!
I agree with the other's,You dont'e need the primer extracter, you can take fired primer's out easy. One thing I did buy is a loading jag for speared bullet's so as not to mar the end of the bullet loading it.
As far as the easy load extracter goes mine went right in.Money well spent on that,it make's cleaning twice as fast.
I also put an oversized hinge pin in mine to tighten it up a little.Other then that I haven't done much else to it.If ya need any other advice give me a call.Just shoot me a PM and I'll send you my #.

Did you remove the little screw on the right side? Just making sure. It should slide just the same as the old one.

The old one slides in and out just fine. The EZ is just a bit wider and will not slide in more than 1/2 an inch and then only at an odd angle. I think there is a burr that should have been machined off and the slightly thicker EZ won't clear it. It won't matter if I decide to go with out one as many here have done.

Just try it without the extractor and I think you'll decide you dont need it anyway.

I would second the quick release Leupold ring/base combo also. I didnt buy them but was just commenting to my buddy the other day that I wish I had. I can see numerous advantages. Cleaning would be easier, it would be a great option if you buy extra barrels, and if you ever dropped your rifle while hunting you could just pop off the scope and use open sights until you were sure the scope was OK. I wish I would have spent the extra money for QR.

powder is going to stab you in the wallet to ship. there is a gunshow in a couple weeks, there will be lots of powder there, if you can't find it local. check wallymarts in smaller communities. i occasionally hit the ones in creston and atlantic, and find stuff i have never seen in des moines, or things des moines has long ago sold out of. smaller gun shops and outdoor stores would be another good place to find powder still in stock.
