Is anyone else having trouble with Tactacams checking in? I’m currently running 6 cameras- 4 of which work perfectly normal (I think). I’ve got 2 others that will check in for 4-5 days (and send pics) and then suddenly go 4-5 days without and no pics, and then suddenly check in and start sending. Tactacam says signal issue, but all check ins and when I set them up were all full bars- and they ran fine for months- so not sure what the deal is. Anyone else experiencing that?
Depending on where you are located, which version of Tactacam and what signal you are using I am guessing signal issue. Verizon is a huge cell provider and they bought out a lot of local providers and started taking them over in September and my cell cams and cell phone service has been spotty since. I have other friends that have similar issues with their cell cams and I think the cell towers have been the issue. We have had 2-3 spells in the past 45-60 days where our phones (and cams) have not worked for 1-3 days each. This is SWIA/NWMO.
Nope, same farm where others are working fine. And again, they work fine for a few days, and then just randomly stop for a few days, and then are back. The farm is 2 1/2 hours away so not like I can troubleshoot very easily. However every time I have been there and checked the cams (I walk past them going to different stands) they are always great signal and great battery life.
Side note, these are in NE Iowa, Allamakee County to be exact. If all of the cameras had the issue, I would believe cell tower issues.
