Last season I purchased a Land Owner Tag, one for a buck, and a seperate one for a doe. This year they gave me a land owner tag with both on it. You use for one or the other. Is this a change? Thanks:

better check with the DNR the fine is very high if done illegal phone call is a lot cheaper.:drink2:

From what I have been told for the last several years is that you can get 1 either sex tag for the year. So if I get one for archery, that is all I can get for an either sex. Nothing for any other season. That's what I have done for several years. Make sure you register your land.

I am registered and last yr I had a buck land tag, a doe land tag, and a state wide either sex tag,so what has changed?

How many LOT licenses are available for
each farm unit?
The landowner family my
receive up to five [5] Landowner-Tenant licenses:
one Any-deer, up to two $2 Antlerless-only and
up to two [2] $13 Antlerless-only. The number
of Antlerless-only licenses is subject to some
restrictions that are explained in the previous
paragraph. These licenses may be divided among
the landowner family (landowner and eligible
family members) in any way the family chooses
as long as the total number of licenses available
to the family is not exceeded and other eligibility
requirements are met. Each individual must be
registered to the same land parcel. If there is no
tenant, the maximum number of licenses available
to the landowner family unit is five [5].
The tenant family may have the same number of
LOT licenses and is subject to the same restrictions
as the landowner family. The tenant family
is restricted to no more than five [5] licenses,

regardless of how many parcels of land they rent.

They dont give you a buck landowner tag. It is an anysex landowner tag. And you can also get a antlerless landowner tag.
You can also get a statewide either sex archery tag and a statewide either sex gun tag.

It's been a while since Iowa issued buck only tags to resident hunters. What you are calling a buck tag last year, was most likely your either sex tag. Nothing has changed in regards to what you are asking. Same rules as last year.
