Tagged out on trout

Caught these at Bacon Creek this morning. 2 of them had tags. Asked the COs about the tags & said they were for a contest & give-aways a couple weeks ago.

What was the effective presentation?

Anything tiny & gold w/ a tiny minnow head or waxie, about 2' off the bottom no matter the depth. These fish have seen everything in the past month. Just hold it dead still until one finds it & then wiggle it just a little & then they'll chomp it. Gotta watch the Vex real close as these guys are constantly on the move & they don't take the time to decide like a bluegill does. You get maybe 2 seconds from the time you spot them on the Vex & they bite. They're moving on if the hook isn't buried in that bony mouth.
