Taking Stock of deer for next year.

I'm going to being hitting the woods with all the trail cammeras I got to see what's left for next year.

Is anyone else going to be doing this??

Yep! I'm more in the boat of wanting to see when antlers are dropping. But inventory is always good as well!

You bet, we have several cams up and running to capture the survivors and tell when they are dropping.

I have all my cameras up and started putting alfalfa and corn out to get inventory and shed season stock

I run my cameras all season, so they're still out. Whether or not they have battery life is the question. Will have to check & replace & get some hay out if possible. Usually leave out thru March.

I'm putting them all on one property. There are two awesome bucks that I want to know for sure if they made it. Odds are in their favor. But you never know.

Was hoping to do the same thing but I just found out my target buck for next year was killed on a drive day one of muzzloader a mile from where I was seeing him. Not the end of the world but disappointing. Generally try to get an idea of what's left.

Dang!!! That is a TANK!

Pull them when the bucks have shed. I usually leave mine out July-March.

I agree. I personally don't need a ton of pics of nubs growing and each cam only has so many pics in it so why waste them on the least relevant time of year. Turkey hunting may change this for some folks

Most all bucks leave my area come gun seasons and afterword. So I am just surprised with what may show up come next rut!
