Tall ten has lost his velvet!

Velvet is gone.

He is a lot thinner than I thought he would be. Velvet is very decieving.

We have several cam photos of bucks that are starting to shed their velvet. That looks like he may have been gotten rid of his velvet a while back.

Just curious what your thoughts are on age of this buck now that he is out of velvet. Mass does not appear to be much larger than the eyes ?? Is it possible that this deer is only 2.5 ?? If so, you have got a whopper of a deer in a yr. or two !! Thanks for the photo post.

I actually was thinking the same thing. He does appear to be a 2.5. I hope he does make it through another year or two. He is a dandy though!!!

If that buck is 2 then holy heck watch out... however.. I think he's 3... just my opinion.

I know when I released my arrow last fall I thought I was shooting a 3.5 only to conclude later I was most likely mistaken.
