I'm going to wack a few deer this year again with the old trusty crooked stick. Just finished my 1st batch of cedars! Thought they turned out pretty decent and figured I'd share some pics.

Wow, wish I had that kind of skill.

Hope it all works out for you. Arrows that look that nice ought to be good for somethin.

Looks good, almost too good to use as someone else mentioned.

Very nice, I rarely have the patience to do that anymore. Only way those will look any prettier is with blood on them.

Forgive my ignorance, but what part of the arrow is tappered?

I'd be afraid to get those 'beauts dirty, let alone break one.

The 'Bonker

Those look great. Now go get one bloody.
Bonker, usually the back portion of the arrow is tapered unless they are "barrel tapered" As an example....11/32 to 5/16 taper.

They turned out way more than decent, they look great. Having done a lot of splicing over the years, I know the time involved in just those feathers. Enjoy them and use them, if any thing happens then you have an excuse to experiment more and make new ones. If you are going to bloody one or loose one use the one on the far right in the pic.

VERY nice job, DOR...Those will look awesome streaking thru the air and passin' thru a BIG ol' buck!!

Good luck with them, we'll be waiting for the Hero pics!

Not bad! "2 hours to make one, and 2 seconds to break one. Let's go stump shootin!

Ah! the smell of burnt turkey feathers in the air.

When you answer the tapered question, go into the paradox explanation.
