Target bow

I want to buy a 3-D bow for next year. Not sure why, other than just to have another thing to screw around with. However, when it comes to this stuff I have no clue what I am doing or what I am looking for. I was looking at a Mathews Conquest Apex. Figured this was a pretty good one but really I have no idea. Any tips out there for getting setup? What do I need? Whats the best?

Fred, Apex would work for 3d but being very long axle to axle I'd suggest something in the 34"-36" range. You want something with enough speed that range estimation is less of a factor. The Apex is more tailored for the 5 spot league in winter (which is alot of fun). Not sure of the bow you are shooting for hunting but I am confident it would still work for a great 3d bow. I'd just go with some different accessories (Scope, longer stabilizer etc etc) When I shot more 3d I had a colored bow, and a camo bow, both same model. Sure increased my confidence level.

Start off by looking for something other than a mathews. Then the rest isnt really important
