Target Trolley

As a result of a dismal season last year I had a pendulum sight put on my bow. I was practicing a few weeks ago while standing on the ground with the pendulum locked down. I knew there had to be a better way. I needed to practice from a stand, but I didn’t want to have to climb up and down the ladder to move the target and retrieve my arrows. So I put a 20 footer way out back and welded up this “trolley” so I could sit in my stand with the remote for my winch, shoot a few arrows, move the target with the winch, shoot some more, move the target etc etc.

I made the target tray removable as well as adjustable from 26 inches to 36 inches ground to center of the current target and I can rotate the tray 90 degrees at a time to a full rotation. If I get a bigger or different target it will be easy to weld up another tray.

I added these pegs so I could put my Glendell Buck on it.

I’ll post some more pictures of it in use. I don't wanna strech my picture posting luck by tryin more than three at a time.

The pins weren't deep enough so the buck fell off. I have since fixed the problem.

Just thought I'd share. Any thing is possible with metal, welding wire and imagination.

That's awesome! How do you get it back out to 30 after you winch it in? Or do you just start at 30 and work your way in and then get down to reset it? Either way, great idea! Now you need to get started on the patent!

I'm not sure what to think, probably have to come over and try it out on my own to develop a really solid opinion!

Be honest Bonk, how many arrows did you ruin on the steel trolly thingy?

Neat idea, now if you invent something to pull your arrows and bring them up to you you'll be a millionaire!

Didn't ruin any. when I was done with all 15 from the tree my arm was pretty tired, so I rested for a minute and just did 15 more from the ground. I had one that sailed and hit one of the uprights behind the target, made a great "TING" and blunted the tip a little.

I did, its called a wife.

Muddy, any time you wanna shot come on out, you know the way. Or anybody else that wants to practice from 20 feet up.

That nice group between the left two spots were all aimed at dead center of the target. I can't seem to break my "left pull".

Left over wheels from a junk lawn mower.

Most of the steel I scammed from the throw away bin at the place I buy steel.

Good call on the "run-flat" tires.

I'm really impressed.

I was wondering wich of Bonkers yard items were missing wheels for this project, the mower or the gas grill.
