Abilene Teen Killed in Hunting Accident
ABILENE, Kan. (AP) Dickinson County Sheriff Gareth Hoffman says an Abilene teenager has been killed in a hunting accident.
Sheriff Gareth Hoffman says 16-year-old Devin Taylor was hurt while turkey hunting with a friend Monday. He says the two were walking in from the field when a gun discharged, and Taylor was hit.
Emergency responders were unable to revive him at the scene.
Hoffman says it appears the death was a tragic accident and there is no indication anything criminal occurred.
