So, today was my last day to be able to head out for a while. I might go out tomorrow night but I had no luck today! Had 6 hens come by and 20+ Deer and a 'Yote. No gobbles, no Toms.

Edit: I just want to add this is my 3rd year (went 4 years ago once) I have yet to shoot a Turkey.

Keep after them Josh. Afternoons can be great. They are not as hened up as the morning and a little easier to pattern, not much gobbleing though. We like to be in by 3:30. 4:00-6:30 we see the most.

...Joe I was 2 miles away from Thurman, Iowa when the Tornado hit. I'm in Nebraska City. I might be able to go tomorrow afternoon since it's to wet to plant. We're spending the night here, heard our road is blocked by trees down.

Story!!!!!

I stalked him while my Dad stayed in the blind, he came over a hill at 20 yards all I could see was his head/neck I hit his head he flew back thought I had him then he flew away. I shot, I missed end of story. Nothing exciting.
