Anyone that knows me knows that I like my bows and I like to tinker with them. One problem I have always had was not being able to press my bow to install a peep or drop away rest cord, or being able to change limbs.
After careful research and price checking I finally realized that $600 was not in my budget to buy a good bow press. So I decided to build one. You may see that it looks a lot like one that is currently on the market but I have actually changed some things on it to make it easier for me to use. I am currently making adapters for pressing "past parallel limb design bows".
You will be surprised to hear that I actually have less than $30 in materials in this press. (The jack was one that was given to me because the tire was bad on it.) But if I had to buy a new Jack for it I would still have less than $55 in materials. I am proud of it and it works well for what I need to do.
Here are pics of it. I built it in about 6 hours.
