The Bearded Lady (Pictures Added)

Owenator tags out this morning at 6:30. Although we had gobblers gobbling around us he decided this bearded hen would be a unique trophy to add to his list. More Picts later biscuits and gravy is waiting!

We didn't weigh her but she had a fairly long beard for a hen (7 8/16 ") she didn't cooperate for about 5 minutes as she scratched through the leaves in front of the blind she never stayed still for a second letting the anticipation build Owen finally got a split second shot and dropped her.

He wanted to carry this one out on his own! Times are changing as each hunt goes by he packs more and more gear and is becoming a fine tuned hunter I am proud hunting is his "thing".

Here is a snapshot from video that I thought was a neat picture as we were walking out.

Good job Owen! I have been thinking about shooting a bearded hen also to mount.

That is awesome! Any eggs??
I shot a bearded hen a few years back during 4th season and she had 7 eggs in her. Crazy.
Congrats to Owen!!

Nice job Owen.

I have only had a crack at a bearded lady once.

It is neat watching them grow.

Last couple of years I have been the packrat for my 12 year old daughter.

Now she is carrying the deeks. Can't wait until she can carry the

badlands, blind and chairs. :drink1:
