As I've posted before my job requires me to do a lot of "day trips" throughout central and eastern Iowa. It allows me to see a lot of animals.
Since last week when the farmers took to the fields deer movement has increased dramatically. I've seen a lot of does after sunrise feeding along field edges and in waterways and draws. I watched a farmer picking corn this week push a dozen deer out of a field and into the wide open in broad daylight. There are many, many small patches of timber that are oozing deer right now at dawn and dusk.
It's nothing earth-shattering, but I'll be hunting draws and fencelines early in the season trying to catch deer moving out of cover.
Has anybody else seen anything neat latley?
