The Burkley Buck - Video of the Week

Week #9 brings the start of a barrage of buck videos - nothing but bucks for the remainder of the season!! :way:

It was Thanksgiving weekend one of the first years we were filming with Outreach. Needless to say, by the footage, I was a novice at filming. Focusing was not an art at that point. Plus, the added snow had a CamKote cover on the darn thing and it was getting in the way of everything...but it didn't keep Jeff and I from doing something we've always done on the holidays when we're back at my in-laws - hunting!! (plus it got me out of the house for a little bit)

Time was winding down as we had a bunch of does feed out in the field when a nice 9 pointer stepped out of the cedars...it was all I could do to get that CamKote off (as it had just stopped snowing). I had to get to the manual setting to lighten the footage... Needless to say, I couldn't get it off and only got a little bit of the buck coming in...

Jeff isn't a man of many words and I did a poor job of getting interviews and "cool" stuff on video to make a story so this one didn't make the first DVD; however, Jeff and I will sure remember this Thanksgiving for a long time...hope you enjoy. Only 7 weeks to go!

What would that buck score?

Good question...I thought it was a lot higher than what he was. Maybe we should take guesses??:D

It had actually broken/rubbed both brow tines off - only had one that was 1" if I remember right but still scored around 135" as a 7 pointer (mainframe 9 without brows).
