The deer I ended up harvesting

I have always wanted to shoot a deer I had pictures of just never thought I would this year. I started to go back threw my pictures and realized I shot a deer I had pictures of. I have the harvest pictures in the PMA Harvest forum but thought I would put the on-the-hoof pictures on here. Well I hope everyone is having a great year and good luck.

By the way he is a lot bigger in person and I am now a firm believer that the camera takes off a little but still give a good idea what your looking at. Another thing he broke off his left kicker on his brow but none the less I am very proud.

You should have been there when I was dragging him out!! I didn't want to gut him in the timber so I wouldn't leave a lot of scent behind but it was all I could do to drag him out without the guts. My dad's next door neighbor and my dad couldn't believe how big he was. I was pretty tired all day that day.

I almost forgot!! Where I stopped the deer to shoot him he was standing in front of my camera about 5 yards and if I would have been paying more attention I could have gotten a better picture. If I would have waited another 3 seconds that is however this is him running way after I shot him. I still think it is pretty cool and I also needed to change the time back an hour so it was actually 7:28am. Thought you might like this.
