The Story Of NB

I've been watching NB, for this will be the third year now( I've eaten tag soup for 2 years waiting for a mature deer). He s been dominant to say the least. I've watched him run 3-4 bucks off simultaneously all by himself. He runs a group of does of about 25, he doesnt deviated from those 25. I believe NB to be 5.5 years old.
I ve had many encounters with this buck in years past. He s pinned me down a couple times and couldn't get a shot. But yesterday November 4th he made a mistake. I got to the stand it was a little foggy down the ravine, and just as the sun came up I watched 20 does working the ridge. I see a little movement to my left, a doe and 2 fawns coming. 2 minutes pass and here he comes, down the center of the ridge. He got to about 30 yards, and stopped with no shot threw the thicket. There I am shaking like a leaf. For 10 minutes the does stood there and looked around trying to pin me, finally the does move a little north, and here he comes at crosses the fence at 15 yards, drew back and finally momma doe blew at me, it was to late he stopped and I let the thunderhead fly. Complete pass through Both lungs. It took me 15 minutes to get calmed down. And I got out of the stand. He ran for 600-700 yards, tough deer. Crossed a creak, and went up a ridge and finally had enough.
Here s a pic of him 2 years ago. And Harvest pics.

Pics are too small for me too see but you shot a buck so congrats! Looks like he got a little smaller over the two years. Congrats!

Yea I don t think so arm, if you see the full pic of him 2 years ago. His body was slender, and thinner and a thin slender nose, no Roman nose, a young deer I believe at 3.5. He s just got heavier, and this pic don't really do him justice.
