Well this was an eventful weekend...
My younger son invited a friend to hunt with us this weekend and I snapped this pic of them Saturday AM after hunting for a few hours. We saw several does, fawns and small bucks, but the best was yet to come...
The Saturday evening hunt went very well! Both boys scored on nice does, it was my son's first bow kill too. Also, my son shot his doe out of the blind that he and I built this summer together. So two "firsts'" in one shot there!
(This pics are "day after's", after we got back home. Ol' dad was a deer tracking and field dressing fool late into the night Saturday so the pics would have to come later!)

I also shot a buck, it was about a 5 yard shot over my newest food plot. I could actually hear him chowing down on the rye in that plot. He bolted and ran into the ladder stand I was in and knocked off about 2"-3" of his right main beam. He was a nice 3 1/2, not my biggest, but I am not complaining. Due to a variety of circumstances I was in the mood to take one out and he came along at the wrong time!
All in all, a very nice weekend, I am sure the boys will be talking smack at school all this week too, they were very pleased with their does.
