The Wrong Result

I read an article in Peterson's Bowhunting Magazine today entitled, "The Wrong Result" by Jay Strangis. It's on page 8 in the December 2004 issue.

A quick summary of it is that an unnamed outfitter sued the State of Arizona over it's 10 percent non-resident tag cap. I saw a show last year on the Outdoor Channel and the unnamed outfitter was talking about the lawsuit. It was US Outfitters. The end result is that the outfitter won the lawsuit based on the assumption that it violated interstate commerce laws.

The next to the last paragraph said, "The net result will have zero effect on hunters with big money. Expensive draw fees don't scare them. But the ruling could put the hurt on the common man who someday wants to hunt in a place like Arizona."

Last Paragraph:

"Thanks to our outfitter friend who filed the lawsuit and wasn't even willing to put his own name on the docket, we'll be feeling the spin-off of this selfish action for years to come."

You need to read the article. It's a darn shame that hunting has become a rich man's game.

Hey rack, read the same article.. Hopefully it won't become a rich mans sport. I want to take my little guy and Girl hunting with me. (6 and 3) got a few years to go.

The un-named outfitters, would be USO OUTFITTERS. I guess they are named after all!! Call George Talman and tell'em THANKS!!
