Took my bow out for the first time Sunday afternoon.
I decided to hunt a draw leading into a corn field. I set up on the ground along some scrub and had a lovely time for about 3 hours with a pouch of Red Man and lots of wildlife to watch.
I expected movement from the timber into the corn when the sun started to get low...but ended up having deer start streaming out of the corn into the timber!! I had two fawns feed around me (I was fully camo'd and cover scented) for 35 minutes. One was within 6 feet of me on several occassions...I could have tackled the little guy!
Didn't take a shot...can't wait to do it again in a few days.
