I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this two different strings. I have read the "mathews outback owners" thread and have been experincing the exact same things. I even had my string go past my suppressor sounded like a gun going off. I went and measured my ata and brace hieght last night 32" ata and 7 3/8 bh. I'm going to get a new string put on and was wondering if these are worth even messing with, or if I should just go with the Winners Choice strings and cables. My local shop doesn't sell WC but I'm going to be in Des Moines where can I order a WC string and cable set, and what will it cost me roughly.

Winners Choice runs about $70-$100 depending on what you want, ie colors, number of strands, coatings, etc. I just bought two rolls of BCY 452x, a roll of serving, and a bunch of string loop at the pro am from BCY $40.00

. This will make two sets of stings and cables. If you know someone who can make them, it is really worth it!

Yes and no, winners choice uses serveral different techniques to build their strings. They utilize a new "X" coat, that they put on thier strings to help extend the life of them. I dont know if you can get that anywhere else or not??? I have always used WC strings, but my bow collection is fastly growing so it gets a little spendy, and I have a good friend that does a awesome job at building them. I am in no way a expert with strings, ask RUDD or IAARCHER for sure but check out the websites

Well you've convinced me to go with the WC. I hate to spend that much on a bow then skimp on the string. By the way how long do these WC strings last? Axp how many shots?

I get a couple of years out of them, shooting 3D and target year round. They are durable as heck. Just make sure you keep them waxed about twice a month or so!

Good Luck

I'm not sure if you can get one straight from them. If you could I bet it would be the same MSRP. I would get it from your local shop and help support them. Are you installing it yourself or at the shop. Most shops cahrge you if you bring something in to get installed that you did not purchase there. JMO
