I apologize for not posting this sooner.
About 6 weeks ago, I gave notice to the administration that I wished to step down as moderator on the site. After several weeks of discussion, it became official about 3 weeks ago. Things change, people change, and for me, the direction hunting is currently going, it's just not a way I want to go anymore.
I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you that made my stay here a pleasant one. I have made a lot of friends here that I will continue to keep in touch with.
There's been some great times here at this job and a few bad, but it was a job that I took serious and enjoyed for the most part.
I will continue to post here, maybe not as much as in the past, but will try to add insight or advice if wanted or needed.
For those that want to keep caught up with me, I can be found on Facebook. I do post up quite a bit of stuff there currently.
Once again, thank you for the support and friendship these past 8 or so years. It's appreciated.
I'm also certain that the three remaining moderators will step up and keep all of you informed and entertained with build alongs and give a ways now that I no longer will be.
Take care everyone.:way:
Sincerely, JayDee Flohr...... aka, Shovelbuck

Couldn't have said it better, myself. I'm definitely better for knowing you through here. I'll search you out on FB because you're just that cool! :way:

You have touched us all with the skills and thoughts you have shared. Your reverence for the game you hunt and the land you hunt on are guideposts for us all.

Take care.

Now I suppose you will have more time to help all the other Cornhusker fans in your neighborhood put up bigger and better "GO HUSKERS" signs.

Jay,

Your talents are many and we are all better for having been given a glimpse into your life. Thank you for always taking the time to share and for putting in countless hours to make this the great site that it is today. I feel priviledged for having had the chance to meet you at the shed gathering a few years back. Take care!

I echo what others have said already. I have always looked forward to reading your posts. Thanks for sharing your talents and perspective.

Jay i will be sending a freind request ASAP. I am sure you will not go away but I just want to thank you for all you have add to our lives and this forum. Clearly a cut above the croud!

Sorry to see you go Jay. Don't let the way other people choose to hunt effect the way that you do or have! When it comes down to it, it's still about the pursuit and the kill and the enjoyment of being outdoors. You are truly talented and have a lot of knowledge to pass on to future generations. Sad to see you go.

Cheers :drink1:

Jay,

Your content contributions were always a highlight of this site. Your feedback to others also came from the direction of positive constructive suggestions rather than criticism and the recognition of the effort which goes into this sport rather than the size of the harvest. You have been a great example of the type of sportsmen that most of us are still striving to become.

Thanks and well wishes to you in the future. Hopefully you will come back and visit from time to time.
