Timing is key

Two years ago this coming NOVEMBER we welcomed a new baby to our family. Having a new baby is never a bad thing, but my planning in that endeavor was horrible :). November 8 is a bad day to be having a baby for a bow hunter in Iowa. We did a little better this time and welcomed little miss Madelyn Jodi on Tuesday the 25th. Not necessarily planned, but the timing is definitely better. Hopefully by the end of October she will be sleeping through the night and it won't be so hard to get up and go out at the butt crack of dawn. Haha! Gotta love it! Here's a shot of all the little squirts around their new sister.

Congrats for sure! Someday you'll miss having to get up in the middle of the night with them lil guys, times goes by fast! Enjoy!

Good looking family. Honestly, how do you get any time to bow hunt? I've got three and have trouble getting the time I'd like in the stand. Good work.

Thanks everyone. I'm a little (probably a lot) biased, but yes I am very blessed and have some awesome, good looking kids! As for time in the stand? I really limit myself in the off season as to how much I do. Save my time for deer season. I don't fish aside from a few times a summer with the kids in a farm pond. I barely hunt anything other than deer and sheds. Some winter coyotes which is almost exclusively late nights after everyone's in bed and a few late nights in the summer killing bullfrogs is about the extent of my "off season" hunting. Combine all of that with an amazing wife who doesn't always agree with my whitetail obsession but let's me do my thing and the fact that our kids are young and not in overloaded with extra curricular stuff really helps my hunting situation!
