Too bad, not harvest photo

My brother really wishes I was posting this in the harves forum. He was on his way to Joplin, MO this morning and found this bruiser in the ditch near Baxter Springs, KS. He had to ward off many other takers before he finally got a carcus tag from the sheriff. Some local bowhunter's heart is broke I'm sure. Too good a buck to be roadkill... 17 scorable points, we've rough scored him between 165 and 170.

Nope Muddy, just a few old battle scars... Stephen got to talk to the fella who hit him. An older gentleman heading home from church last night around 9pm. Stephen offered him the deer, after all the bruiser tore the heck out of the front end of his car; but he declined. Seemed like a nice fella according to Stephen.

Even though he didn't kill it, he going to mount that thing? Hell, I think I would almost HAVE to out of principle? Granted, those would be SWEET rattling horns!

He has a taxidermist buddy in CO who owes him a mount for a past fishing trip. So I guess he's going on the wall, I kid my brother that it'll be the only one he'll ever "harvest" worthy of the mantle.
