Tough Call

I hope to get more pictures of this guy! Really tough to tell how decent he is. There seems to be a lot of people here who are really good at guessing age and size. I know this guy probably needs to keep growing, but can you get an idea of his size even though the pictures are tough to see? I would greatly apperciate it!!!

Thanks

Tough to see is right...just a guess...mid 130's.

Repeat after me..."Point camera to the North"

He's a nine, trying to be a ten. His left side is a full five and the right is a 4 with a nub G-4. His G-2's are shorter than his 3's. Decent brows also. I think the last picture is a little misleading about his spread. I think his ear is slightly tucked. He looks to be about "ears-wide"...roughly 16-17inches.

Looks like a young deer to me. Maybe only a 2.5 year old. I'd think in another two years this deer will be a hum-dinger. I'd pass on him this year, no doubt.

Size wise, probably 120's...you have to remember, some of the "appeared" mass gets shed with the velvet.

Great genetics and great potential.

Question on this deer. I am new to seeing bucks in velvet on cameras. I primarely have always hunting river bottoms and rarely had buck pictures. So here is my question, will this guy grow any more length this year? I agree he is probably going to be a walker(i say probably cause on a cold november morning, he may become a great reason to go back to the truck

) BUt I am just curious to see if they are done growing by now or if they still have a little growth left in them! Also, I am planning to set up a wildlife eye near this guy this week. (I'll face it north).. But hopefully video will help me have a clearer picture!

I would say he could go another year. However, he looks nice now.
I bet he would look even better under the treestand.

It's a lot better picture and I'm sticking to my guns. He doesn't have much mass (that will come with age) so he's young and has a lot of potential in what he could become. He's also not that tall.

When he's hard horned, he won't look as big. He'll look a little spindly.

Let him grow, if you think he'll make it.
