Tracks Can you really tell the difference?

Can you tell the difference between a "buck" track and a "doe" track? I would love to hear everyones experiences and beliefs on this subject. Is there proof or is it just a myth?

I couldn't tell you the last time I looked at a deer track, there really isn't a reason for it

Usually size tells the story. Usually bucks tend to drag their feet more in the snow than does. However if the snow gets really deep then just about anything will drag their feet. Also a pointed in track is usually a young small deer and a track that points outward is going to be a bigger deer.

Rear hooves that step on the outside of the front hoof track is a doe and if on the inside, it is a buck.
