Traditions Buckstalker - Muzzleloader

Ok, I did this backasswards, but I bought one of these tonight at Scheels and wanted to get some feedback on the gun. I thought the price was awesome for the features and I'm not expecting to try and stretch a shot out past 100 yards anytime soon. I'm up and muzzy hunting for just shy of $300. Did I do good or am I better off trying to throw it at the deer?

Buckstalker is a great gun, Traditions doesn't really make a "low end" firearm. If you're hunting 100 yards and less it will do just fine. If you want to start going a little longer range, you'll want to move to a rifle with a 28" barrel.
