Trail Cam Knowledge

I have set trail cams out since 2003 and every year I learn something new. This year I am planning on waiting a little longer before I start putting anything out. Along with going in completely sent free. After looking threw pictures I have seen that the deer seem to be a little edgy. I hunted a spot I put my cameras out and I went in a day before just like I would have with a camera and hung a stand. I had a small buck come threw and right when he came accross my path from the day before he came to complete alert. I hadn't walked that far in that morning and when I saw that I was amazed that my sent was still there from 2pm the other day. Well if any of you other vet cam people have secret tricks let us know. The better we get the better off we are.

I use to work harder at it than I do now. There is an updated copy of this photo somewhere but I can never find it when I want to. Someone looking at this post may remember the one I am referring to and be able to locate it.

I mowed some trails this week to help keep my contact with vegetation to a minimum. Large memory cards and good battery usage can minimize your trips to your cameras and that is a very good thing. 14 to 21 days was my goal this year for checking cameras
