Trail cam question

New to trail cams and wondering how often to check cameras during the different parts of season; summer to early season to rut.They are over mineral sites now and will be moved accordingly throughout the season. Is a week long enough, two weeks? Thanks for the input.

I try to wait two weeks but it really depends and the cam, card size, and activity at your site. It doesnt do you any good to have a cam siting over a lick if the batterys are dead or the card is full. But as a rule of thumb leave it as long as it can be left, the longer its there and the less you are the better.

Agreed on the 2 weeks, I have 2 cameras I only check every 4 weeks as they are very intrusive to the property and I always seem to kick something up (unintentionally) getting to them. I run 4gb SD cards and solar panels on theses cameras as well. I have cameras I can check every week as well, depends on the camera location and how obtrusive you want to be...
