Tree of Stone

Took a short walk today to look for sheds and came across this unique tree. I know it's a little off topic but I thought it was very cool. There are stones grown into this old sicamore tree close to 10' up the trunk!

Wow, thats cool. I have seen alot of old trees with fence thru the middle, but it never takes the wire up while growing. Someone had to put them there and it grew around them I guess. I'd sure like to know if you ever figure it out. I have an elm tree that I put 2 big antlers in the forks to get them away from my dog a few years ago. The tree is growing around them now. In 10 or 20 years thats probably going to blow someones mind if they come by it.

What a cool tree, that's a great find. That is a rare thing to see for sure even if man played his part. Remarkable.....trees really are.

wow thats a coool find. Even if someone put them there that would take a lot of time to get them to stick.

This happened naturally, this tree grew on a mound of lime stone that was taken out of our quarry many years ago. I like the "cave man tree step" concept!

thats friggen cool! Definitely a unique find for sure!

thanks for posting it

Good one!! :D Notice that they don't have a celebrity endorsed camo pattern, so they must be old!

What????

it says "Endorsed by THOR" on the 3rd rock on the left... You gotta look closely, but its there, for realz

caveman treesteps!!!:D

Ha, ha! The straps that held them on must have grown into the tree! You had to be a stud caveman to carry ten of those babies in your mobile hunting set up! I bet the tree stand platform was a 3ft x 3ft piece of flag stone about 6 inches thick! :D Very cool tree!!!:way:
