tree stand or ground blind?

Your deer around here are pretty much no different then where you hunted before. Especially whitetail. Depends on what time of year. During the rut i hunt both but do not use a blind, especially when rattling and make sure you have background cover. I shot my 150" class buck with a bow from the ground and he came within 10 yrds of me. My 165" M/L was shot from a stand and it also just depends on preference. Obviously a stand is going to give you more visual capabilities which give you more scouting ability, with you being new the area i would go this route.

I bow hunt from a tree stand and late muzzleloader hunt from homemade ground blinds and treestands. I haven't hunted from a ground blind with a bow yet but I know a lot of guys that have and have had great success. Good Luck!!!
