We have two really nice areas to hunt. I might go bow hunting this year insead of youth. I have a hill side where all the deer are. Every moring and every night there is deer up on the side of the hill. I want to up a treestand there but over across the road from the hill side there is a spot where all the deer run. I have seen more deer up in that area then deer on the hill side. The hill side has a bean field and some other crops in it. The area across there has like a wet spot so they can drink also has a little stream that goes by. There are some crops there. I want to put one up but WHERE? Can you guys help me???

Well, since your a youngster and are privledged to hunt early in the season I would concentrate on the late summer feeding patterns and set up on one of the main trails leading to the most productive food source at that time. Good luck.....

Alaskan gave you some good advice there 20_gauge.Just remember to keep the wind in your advantage, wherever you decide to place one.And be careful with the thermals on the hillsides.
