It all depends on what you are looking for out of a stand if you ask me. For instance, every time I hunt I hang the stand that day and hunt, and pull it down that morning or evening, so I need a super fast quiet set up. That set up would be the Lonewolf alpha hang on and 4 sets of sticks. A bit pricey, but if you are like me and plan moving alot and everyday you cant beat it. If you plan on hanging the stand and leaving it there for quite awhile, then you really wouldnt need that set up in my opinion. For stands that I leave up for a long period of time, I like to use Rivers edge stands. They are fairly cheap and comfortable. Anything will work, but if you want to move alot, carry less, and be quiet, then lonewolf would be the way to go. goodluck in picking a stand
I think you'll find that many here are tried and true fans of the Lone Wolf Alpha Hang On with the climbing sticks. It's the only stand I own and the only one I need. Well worth the price.
If you could possibly explain the type of hunting you might be doing, we might be able to answer your question better. public vs. private land?...can you leave your stand up all season?...how far will you have to walk/pack in every time you want to hunt? Stuff along those lines.
