Nothin like gettin to a stand you been waiting all year to hunt and when I got there yesterday afternoon I find someone else couldnt wait to hunt it either. Blood everywhere, broken arrow lying there just 17 yds from my stand. Trailed the blood to a nice little gutpile. This is getting ridiculous. At least he didnt steal my stand I guess.

Ya I expected to find someone walking in on me this morning, so I came early and got setup by 615!

OTC archery deer tags for December and January and there will likely be quite a few archery javelina tags left over for the January hunt (3 weeks long). Probably some left over general and HAM javelina tags in February, too. Of course, its mostly public land so I can't promise you won't have similar encounters.

I hope you stick a big one, though!

not to hijack your post, but i was on the opposite end of that..I was in my stand, nailed a doe first day I was in it to fill one of my doe tags, left the gut pile... the guy came to the landowners house (my grandparents) complaining about someone hunting "his" stand and killed a deer... turns out, his stand was mine, and after a little chat, he was never welcome on the farm again... hope you catch him!! It sucks
