Hey guys, I have been hearing about a huge deer that was killed in Missouri a few weeks back. The deer was said to have grossed 319. If I am not wrong this would be a new world record. BUT I have also heard that this deer has been shot on a game farm, ( I don't know if it was a high fence or not ) The deer was shot by Roger Jarvis.

if anybody else knows any new news on this deer, please share what you know.
(Maybe you guys have already discussed this deer)

Some claim game farm, some don't. I haven't heard anything officail on it. All I know for sure, that is one beast of a buck.
 
I heard game farm too. I would think it would have been hyped up more if it wasn't. Too bad /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif
 
I've heard game farm since the git-go but nothings been confirmed.

But where does "world record" come in? Current record is over 330 net.

Shot by a hunter i assume...

sorry, Yeah that's what I meant, largest deer shot by a hunter.

But it could be shot on a "game farm" and still count right? say if the "game farm" did NOT have high fences?
 
Dang it, it's from my farm- I passed that deer 7 times this year hoping he'd get another year or two of growth so he could reach his peak. Well, 2009 or 2010 is down the tubes! /forum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

Impressive rack, I'd have to agree that we'd have heard more about it if it were legit. I just hope some of that buck's long lost northern migrating relation ends up on my hunting ground next fall.
 
yea ive been hearing it was shot behind a high fence but no other info yet the current record is 333 7/8 but this would be largest ever shot by hunter if its free range... unreal deer

yea the Missouri dept of conservation confirmed that this deer was purchased from a breeder and released into a high fence enclosure...... just makes you wonder how much that guys had to pay for that hunt
